Parallel skiing now and everything feels so much more natural. I can make it down Jammer pretty fast and Temptation is fun now that I'm not terrified of it. I realized the steepest parts of Temptation are no worse than the steepest parts of Bear. So, I think before going down Temptation, Bear's the best test of ability. And those steep parts flatten out on Temptation. the steepest parts of Bear are longer, so its a really good trial.
I realized why I like Jammer more than Bear, and its for that reason exactly. Bear stays steep longer than the other runs off of Bear Chair. Jammer and Griz both have spots where they either flatten out or have little uphill patches that make slowing down easier. I haven't been on Bear since last week so I might be able to handle it a little better.
Jake got some new Saloman's for 1/2 off at McU's. They are 7.5's, his last boots were size 11 Dalbellos, haha, huge difference. We took his skis to REI to get the bindings callibrated today so he should be able to have them before we go back up to Brundage this Tuesday and Wednesday. Its the last whole week Brundage is opened. Lift tickets are free next week to celebrate the end of season. Brundage will still be open for two more bonus weekends though, so hopefully we'll be able to take advantage of one of those too.
