Passing scores on certain Praxis tests are required by the State Board of Education in order to enroll in teacher education programs. I took my first round of tests a couple weeks ago. I received my scores for three of my four tests immediately after I took them. The only score I didn't receive was my writing test and I was so, so sure I failed it when I walked out of the testing center that day.
But lucky for me I passed it! I received a confirmation email this morning. Best birthday present I could ask for.
I was positive I failed it because I stumbled through the multiple choice sections and the essay was a disaster--I had 30 or 45 minutes to write an essay and I wrote a paragraph. When I reviewed individual sections of the test, I failed the essay part--6 out of 12 points, but I passed the other sections and the only thing that matters is my cumulative score...so thank goodness!
