Not only did Jake put up with that but he drove to class with me today, in part to do school work in a quiet place outside of the house and to give me company because I've kind of yet to make friends in the class and I think my teacher pities me because I kind of stick out like a sore, awkward thumb because the class is full of kids that have known each other forever and I don't have anyone to talk to.
After class we stopped at Fred Meyers to sip on peppermint hot chocolates and chai teas at the Tully's inside. We stopped at Fred Meyers to avoid seeing my parents before they left for their plans for the evening. While we were waiting for our drinks, we snacked on cupcakes and tartlettes from the bakery. This was the very best part of my night for so many reasons. The biggest being it was a chance for us to escape and just be together alone in somewhere quiet. And honestly, its been the best birthday I've had for as long as I can remember.
