Sugar Rush Cupcakery, Boise, ID

We found this new cupcake place yesterday. Its called the Sugar Rush Cupcakery. I have to admit I like them a lot better than Lilly Jane's.

There's a lot of reviews online that say Lilly Jane's cupcakes are kind of bland and are barely a step up from boxed cake mixes. I didn't want to admit it for a while because everyone at Lilly Jane's is so nice but its true....

Even my favourite flavours are kind of hit and miss from time to time. And their buttercream is kind of rubbery.

But the cupcakes at the Cupcakery are sooo, so good. The only downside is they are a lot smaller than Lilly Jane's and a lot of the other bakeries in town.

Sooo many flavours are available everyday. Not just the three most popular and a few specialty flavours. It seems like a good portion of the whole menu is offered, which is really impressive. They have about 50 flavours in total. Jake got margarita which had a key-lime like filling and I had pink champagne which had a cream cheese filling. It was sooo good.

And they definitely have a leg-up on their competitors for decoration too. They are probably my favourite bakery at the moment.
