Friends

This is one of my best compadres, Mariah. Mariah and I met in middle school not long after I moved to Meridian. After high school we kind of lost touch with one another. Then, a couple months ago, she overheard my mom talking at the Dollar Store. (And trust me, if you overheard my mom talking, you'd definitely know it was her too). Long story short, we've picked up right where we left off. Last Tuesday, Mariah and I went out for cupcakes together at the Sugar Rush Cupcakery and I got the very best red velvet cupcake I've ever had in my life. It had raspberry filling and cream cheese frosting. I'm not even sure why I got it because I haven't really been impressed with anything red velvet I've had before, but this was amazing!

Besides for Mariah, I really haven't kept in contact with any of my friends I had when I was younger. Most of my friends now are ones I met through school. Jake hasn't either with the exception of his friend, Alex. They talk from time to time, but its mostly just on rpg's they play when they're both online. Most of his friends now are the ones he met through the Air Force, like Ralph and Mann. In particular, Ralph and Mann. Here's a picture of Jake and Ralph they took when they were stationed in Barksdale. Ralph is currently in Japan. Mann is in the reserves and plans to move to Prescott to fly helicopters once he sells his house in Louisiana.
