Plans for the semester

Thank god for the new year because this last one sucked!

Jake and I are both enrolled in 16 credits this semester.

He's still working on his general ed classes. Classes like music, intro to biology, technical writing, stuff like that. He's going to the College of Western Idaho this semester. Its a community college that opened a couple years ago. He decided to go there this semester because he got fed up with Boise State. It sucks being a non-traditional student being surrounded my overenthusiastic kids strait out of high school when you just want to do is get in and get out. It will also save us money on gas. He'll save about 10 miles round trip.

This would have been the last full semester of my master's. I would have knocked everything off this spring for a summer graduation but I didn't get an independent study I needed for that to happen, so my graduation date is delayed by a couple semesters. My program is a track program and taking classes out of order kind of screws you over. Because I have a couple extra semesters at Boise State, I decided to add on a special ed certificate. I needed extra credits to keep receiving financial aid anyway and I'm hoping it will make me more marketable. I can complete the certificate by December (not including student teaching) before I start my program at George Fox but I'll have to take full loads until that happens including full-time coursework in the summer.

Most of my classes in the spring will be undergrad thankfully. So sick of graduate school, I can't even begin to tell you...
