So Let's Talk About how a Propellor Almost Took off Jake's Finger.

It's not actually that bad, ha ha. Although we believe it may have sliced down to the basal layer if not to the dermis. Jake didn't need stitches although the blade sliced through a great deal of his outer layer of skin. Most is barely fused.

Jake doesn't have health insurance so we are trying to avoid a trip to the doctor if possible. We don't believe there's a lot a doctor can do except hand us a 300 dollar bill. Right now we're just trying to avoid infections.

Thankfully we have friends that are nurses and EMT's that have offered advice. :)

(His finger isn't broken. The Popsicle stick is used to prevent Jake from bending his finger which he's trying to avoid since some of his barely fused skin is on his knuckle.)
