Downtown Boise Date (and the Empty Bowls Event)

Every year the city hosts the Empty Bowls Event to raise money for the Idaho Foodbank the day after Thanksgiving. At the event, hand-painted ceramic bowls may be purchased with a cup of soup from participating downtown restaurants. Jake and I decided to check it out this year.

After the Empty Bowls Event, Jake and I walked around downtown Boise.

Taking pictures in front of windows...

...and more windows. I could have edited the people out of this picture but the look on that guy's face cracks me up.

Earlier this year my friend Katie asked me to paint a mural for her. To thank me once I completed it, Katie gave me several gift cards for Jake and I to use (which are very much appreciated!) One of the gift cards was to the Flying M. I have this terrible habit of losing gift cards if I don't spend the full amount immediately so after we bought drinks, we spent the rest of Flying M cookies. One was ginger.

Jake says he didn't like it because it "tastes like roots."

Yeah, that's what he said...it "tastes like roots." When he told me this I cracked up laughing.
